Our Veterinarians

Dr. Rodney Little, D.V.M. is the owner of the Animal Hospital of Collin County. He is married to wife Cara, with whom he has two children: Ian and Zachary. Dr. Little received his Bachelors of Science in Biology from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma in 2006. He went on to study veterinary medicine at Oklahoma State University, graduating in 2011. After vet school, he left his home state and moved to Allen, taking an associate position under Dr. Jerry Wilson. After almost six years at the Animal Hospital of Collin County, Dr. Little purchased the hospital from Dr. Wilson and is currently fulfilling his dream, owning and operating the hospital and leading an amazing staff! Dr. Little is actively involved with the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, and the American Association of Feline Practitioners. His special interests within veterinary medicine include dentistry, diagnostic ultrasound, radiology, and soft tissue surgery. When he isn’t “doctoring,” he enjoys golf, playing guitar, college football, woodworking, and having fun with his family.

Dr. Jessie Brown, D.V.M. obtained her degree in Animal Science from OSU in 2019 and graduated from Oklahoma State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. Jessie worked at Animal Hospital of Collin County during her clinical rotations the last year of vet school and joined our team as Dr. Jessie Brown, D.V.M. in July 2023. Her veterinary medicine interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, dermatology, and preventative care. Dr. Brown also has a special interest in acupuncture; she received training from the Chi Institute and is excited to offer this new service to our clients. Outside of work, Dr. Brown loves spending time with her dogs, Tucker and Moose, camping, hiking, listening to live music, and traveling to new places. As Dr. Brown begins her veterinary career, she is most excited to get to know our clients and their wonderful pets, working with such a collaborative and skilled team that prioritizes patient care above all else. We are very excited to welcome Dr. Brown to our practice; her calm and welcoming bedside manner is the perfect fit for our clinic, and we know she will be just as dedicated to caring for your pets as you have come to expect from all your animal care professionals at Animal Hospital of Collin County.
